Egypt: Water Cut Off, 13 areas In Cairo For 8 Hours

Today, Sunday, January 10, 2021, The Holding Company For Water and Waste in Cairo announced that the water will be cut off from 11 regions and the strength of water pressure will become weak in two areas, starting from ten o’clock tomorrow, Monday, the eleventh of January, until six in the morning, on Tuesday, for a period of 8 Hours, due to the development work on the Al-Firdous axis, which necessitated the diversion of the 800 mm water line in the Abbasiya area.
The company indicated that the water will be cut off in the following areas: “industrial zone in Abbasiya, the Greek Hospital Street, the extension of the Italian Hospital Street and its branches, the school complex, the Rahman Al-Rahim Mosque, Al-Zahra Hospital, Al-Muroor Street in the Police District, Sheikh Abdullah Street, Water Club Street, and Street Al-Firdaws, and the Air Force Hospital, and the water pressure will decrease in the following areas: “the rest of the Abbasiya and al-Jamalia”.
The President of the Holding Company for Water, instructed to finalize all works on the specified dates and to speed up the re-pumping of water to the affected areas upon completion of the required tasks.
The Holding Company for Water, said that it will procure mobile potable water tanks, in the affected areas, and if there are any complaints, contact the hotline (125).
